KAZ Minerals Russia is looking for potential candidates for the position of Translator within General Services and Administration Division in our Peschanka Site (Chukotka region).

REQUIREMENTS:

• Higher education;
• 5+ years of Translator / Technical Translator experience with increasing levels of responsibility
• Knowledge of standard office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point). Proficiency in SDL Trados.
• Ability to convert documents from non-editable to editable format (FineReader or other programs).
• Ability to edit pictures and work with graphics. Basic knowledge of Visio and AutoCAD is desirable but not mandatory.
• Experience in simultaneous interpretation /whispering interpreting is desirable

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform written translations of letters, contracts, instructions, reports, technical and any other type of documentation generated within the Company, including the use of software tools (SDL Trados, image editing programs, file format converters).
• When required, contact Company’s contractors (translation agencies) to submit translation requests and receive completed translations.
• Proofread and correct translations performed by Company’s employees, consult Company’s employees on the terms, definitions and proposed translation options.
• Proofread and correct translations performed by the Company’s contractors (translation agencies).

• Act as an interpreter at the meetings with representatives of other companies and/or external agencies - in the offices of the Company and external agencies, during visits/tours to Company’s sites as well as at internal Company meetings.

• Provide interpretation for Company Management Team/VIP meetings and other major events involving Company Management Team at various Company facilities.

• Maintain translation log/database for future search and reference.

• Create and maintain Company glossaries on project terms.

• Comply with the translation policy (both internal and external)
